Graduating from Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts, along with the legendary Antwerp Six, enigmatic designer Martin Margiela is renowned for his avant-garde approach to design. The concept of deconstruction features highly in his clothing, garments and objects are often taken apart and redesigned in oversized proportions with seams, hems and linings visible on the outside.
